Rongoā

Rongoā

Rongoā Māori is informed by a body of knowledge that has as its core the enhancement of Māori wellbeing. It is a traditional healing practice in culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori with an emphasis on the spiritual dimension of health.

Rongoā Māori healing is formulated in a Māori cultural context, in which the understanding of events leading to ill health and its impacts are addressed through a range of culturally bounded responses. These responses include rakau rongoā (native flora herbal preparations), mirimiri (massage), whitiwhiti korero (pastoral care) and karakia (prayer).

We would like to inform everyone about the upcoming changes being made to the way that we operate.

Due to funding changes made to our contract with the Ministry of Health (MOH) we are no longer able to operate in the same way we have in the past.

What this means is that starting from September 1st we can only provide you with one free session introducing you to the service, please call or email us to enquire about how to book these appointments.

PLEASE NOTE ALL ACC APPOINTMENTS ARE STILL FREE OF CHARGE
