New Zealand Certificate in Tikanga a Rongoā (Level 3)
Qualification
This qualification is for people who want to:
Develop some understanding of nga tikanga o rongoā Māori.
Gain knowledge and skills to support and participate in the practice of tikanga me rongoā Māori, under supervision.
Be able to apply knowledge fundamental to rongoā Māori practices.
NB: This is an entry level qualification designed for people who intend to further their studies in nga tikanga o rongoā Māori. It is not associated with professional registration and does not imply a tohunga of practice.
Outline
Noho marae (1 per month) of 2 days duration.
Up front teaching at marae base level.
Group or one to one assistance at tutor level.

Duration: 20 weeks comprising 4 noho marae (1 per month) of 2 days duration
