New Zealand Certificate in Tikanga a Rongoā (Level 3)
Qualifications
This qualification is for people who want to:
- Develop some understanding of nga tikanga o rongoā Māori
- Gain knowledge and skills to support and participate in the practice of tikanga me rongoā Māori, under supervision
- Be able to apply knowledge fundamental to rongoā Māori practices.
NB: This is an entry level qualification designed for people who intend to further their studies in nga tikanga o rongoā Māori. It is not associated with professional registration and does not imply a tohunga of practice.
Outline
- Noho marae (1 per month) of 2 days duration.
- Up front teaching at marae base level.
- Group or one to one assistance at tutor level.
